On Saturday September 17, 2022, Peggy June Williams peacefully passed in her home, while sleeping with her family by her side. She was 87 years young and a true matriarch to her family and a faithful member to her Church as a child of God.
Peggy is preceded in death by her husband Charles Monroe Williams, her two sons Robert and Frederick Williams, her brothers Ronnie, Tony, and Tim, and her mother, Alma Burgess. She is survived by her siblings Patricia (Bob), and Willie (Arleta).
Peggy was the loving mother to the late Fred (Carol) Williams, Chuck (Sue) Williams, the late Robert Williams, Deborah (Brad) Fassler, Mike (Diana) Williams, Kenneth Williams and Ronald Williams.
Peggy was the much beloved grandmother to April (Noah), Melody, Laura, Lisa (Chris), Heidi (Don), the late Gabriel (2022), Jeremiah (Connie), Siovhan (Allen), Scott, Sarah (Steve), Ashley (Josh), Mercedes, and Dustan.
She was the doting great grandma to Nicholas, Fiona, Tuan, Kristopher, Paige, Tyler (Alexys), Rylee, Morgan, Samantha (Brandon), Bobbie Jo, Aili, Bradley, Hana, Dylan, Aaron, Rachel, Brandon, Madison, Abby, and Chloe and she was proud to be a great-great grandmother to Rosalynn.
As the matriarch of her abundant family, she raised her seven children, all over the country while Charles, her husband of 54 years, served in the United States Air Force. As a mother, she demonstrated an iron-willed perseverance in both challenging and prosperous times. Instilling values and traditions, Peggy was always making the best of what was around. She created homes, and in those homes created memories and no matter where they lived, you were surrounded in welcoming love. She never missed a birthday and always made the holidays feel special.
Peggy did not just have hobbies or interests, she had skills, creativity, and talents. From beautiful ceramic décor to making intricate quilts with many forms of art in between, she had many gifts.
Peggy's faith was insurmountable and had undoubtedly brought peace to her loved one's hearts, simply because her faith was as strong as her spirit. She cherished her Church and the relationships that God created for her to build.
She loved spending time with her family and friends. She always wanted those around her to be happy and feel loved. She is a beautiful, welcoming, generous, and loyal woman who will be missed by all who knew her.
