Peggy Wright Ayers Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Hightower's Memorial Chapel - Douglasville on Dec. 18, 2025.
Peggy Jo Wright Ayers, age 84, of Villa Rica, Georgia, passed away on December 16, 2025. She was born in Douglasville, Georgia, on February 13, 1941, the daughter of the late U.B. Wright and the late Ovie Henslee Wright.
Peggy enjoyed front-porch bird-watching, coloring in her coloring books, sneaking out to plant and replant her flowers, watching old westerns, and spending Saturday afternoons watching gospel music on television. These are moments that will be treasured forever.
She was a prayer warrior. There was never a time when she was not seen with a Bible study beside her chair.
She loved her family and made sure we all knew how much she loved us.
We find comfort in knowing she ran through Heaven's gates, greeted by so many loved ones who went before her, including her loving husband and daughter.
She is survived by her children: Trena Timmons and her husband, Greg; Amy Morris and her husband, Ricky; and Jackie Lee; grandchildren: Heather Meeler and her husband, Josh; Stephen Lee; Jonathan Timmons and his wife, Lauren; Danielle Pruitt and her husband, Zack; Jeremy Morris; and Scott Morris and his wife, Kayla; and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Stephen Howard Ayers; daughter, Tammy Lee; grandson, Daniel Timmons; and parents, U.B. and Ovie Wright.
A graveside service will be held at Cold Springs Cemetery on Friday, December 19, 2025, at 3:00 p.m., with Tyler Ayers and Stephen Lee officiating.
