HENSLEY, Penny C. - age 56, of Swartz Creek, passed away August 3, 2025. Funeral services will be held 2 PM Thursday, August 7, 2025 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek, MI 48473. Visitation will be held 12 PM - 2 PM Thursday at the funeral home. Penny was born October 1, 1968 in Flint, the daughter of Jerome and Diana (Graham) Verdier. She was a devoted mother and grandmother who found joy in gardening, playing bingo, and collecting gnomes. Surviving are: children, Paul (Jennifer) Hensley, Candi (Eric) Pierce, Teri Matthess, Stephen Matthess, Johnny (Chelsea) Matthess, Andrew (Savannah) Matthess, Tayler (Hannah) Matthess, Dyanna (Austin) Brewer, Cody Matthess, Tiffany (Jonathan) Burton; many grandchildren; one great-grandchildren; many siblings; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Jerome Verdier, Mother, Dina Verdier, step-mother, Gloria Hensley, and sister, Paula. Friends may share an online tribute at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com
