Perry Thomas Acosta, 64, flew with angels at 5:55pm on November 10, 2025. He was surrounded by his wife and children when he met Jesus.
He was a native and lifelong resident of Houma la.
He is survived by the love of his life and wife of 18 years, Maria Blanchard, children Zachary Acosta, Katie Lirette (Barry), and Keely Alexander (Charlie). Grandchildren Alisha Lirette, Branson Lirette, Kaitlyn Burnett, Kaden Burnett, John Richard, Sean Radau, Kullen Duplantis, William Alexander and Kaylee Alexander. Brothers Louis E. Landry III (Yvonne ), Dana Landry (Pam), Roy Landry (Laura), Hugh Acosta (Karen), and Courtney Acosta (Melanie), Mother in law Bonnie Blanchard
He has proceeded in death by his son Will Radau iv, parents Hugh S and Dolores Trahan Acosta, father-in-law John Blanchard, and nephew Louis Landry IV.
Perry was one of the most selfless and caring individuals. His laughter and kindness left a contagious effect that will forever flow through the hearts of those lucky enough to have known him. He was the kind of person who found joy in the simple pleasures, whether it was casting a line on a serene fishing trip, admiring the vibrant fish in his aquarium, or exploring new horizons during his travels with his loving wife, who was his anchor and partner in adventure and laughter. Together they created memories that will last a lifetime. His spirit will forever be kept alive in stories of his adventures, his quiet and gentle presence, and the love he shared with the world.
