Perry E. Blessing

Perry Edward Blessing, age 65, of Howey-in-the-Hills, Florida, passed away at his home on January 31, 2026.

Perry was born on June 20, 1960, at Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton in Oceanside, California to Edna Roudebush Blessing and LeRoy Blessing. He grew up in several states, including Hawaii and Indiana. After graduating from Carroll High School, he went on to achieve a bachelor's degree in accounting from Ball State University and later a master's degree in business administration from St. Leo University. While working for an accounting firm in south Florida, he met his wife, Terri. In 1994, shortly after the birth of their second child, they moved to Howey-in-the-Hills, a community he proudly called home ever since.

He became a local business owner, operating a flooring store in Tavares, and helped his wife and daughter purchase and run a second store in Bushnell. After selling his store, Perry returned to the accounting field – a profession he truly loved.

Known to many as a trusted financial advisor, Perry was passionate about helping his friends and clients experience success by building financial freedom. He considered it a personal mission, driven by a desire to help others ensure a stable future and reach their full potential. Both of Perry's children were active in athletics through high school and college and he loved supporting them and their teams. In recent years, he found a new passion for vacationing with his wife and their friends in their RVs. But, one thing Perry cherished the most was being a "Poppy" to his grandsons and sharing his love of reading and exploring the outdoors with them.

At home, he could often be found on the mower, tractor, or utility vehicle – working on the property or simply heading down the road to visit with his neighbors. He valued lending a helping hand and building a home and life for his family that he could be proud of. Perry will be remembered for his generosity and his devotion to his family and friends.

Perry is survived by his wife of 40 years Terri Blessing, daughter Mallory Will (Jeff), son Marcus Blessing, sister Kerry Yates (Robert, "Bob"), and grandsons Cade and Boone Will.
