Perry Bomboy Obituary

Perry Lynn Bomboy, a proud veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps., passed away on May 30, 2025 after a year-long battle with cancer.
The son of the late George H. and Estella M. (Salsgiver) Bomboy, Perry was born on June 30, 1960. He grew up in Kane and was a graduate of Kane Area High School, class of 1978.
Perry enlisted in the Marine Corps in 1980 and served as a Light Vehicle Operator at Camp LeJeune, North Carolina for the entirety of his career. He highly valued his service and was Honorably discharged in 1983, attaining the rank of Lance Corporal. After his discharge, he worked as a truck driver for various companies.
Later in life, Perry could be seen performing various jobs throughout the community. He actively kept the sidewalks free of snow and debris year-round, served in the American Legion Honor Guard, and volunteered at the local food pantry. His loved ones and the residents of Kane will surely miss his presence and the ways by which he did his part to keep Kane beautiful.
Perry had a love for the outdoors. He enjoyed strolling through town and the surrounding areas as well as camping at his favorite spot near Fox's Dam.
Perry is survived by sisters, Betty (Frontera) Thompson, Judy (Frontera) Zaner, Lucille (Frontera) Peterson and Dorothy "Dotty" (Frontera) Preshak, two daughters, Shana Snyder of Olean, NY and Brytanie McKay (Christopher Andrews), of Lewisburg, TN, and a son, George (Erin) Bomboy, of Oil City, PA. Known affectionately as "Pappy", he is also survived by six grandchildren, Grace, Spencer, Noah, Amelia, Tanner and Natalie, who he adored. He was preceded in death by siblings, John Frontera, Joseph Frontera, Arthur Frontera, Francis Frontera, Estella (Frontera) Klucinikas,
A service honoring the life of Perry will be held at Kane Community Methodist Church, 112 Greeves St. Kane, PA 16735 by Pastor Calvin Cook at a future date.
