Perry Roger Gantz

Perry Roger Gantz, 84, of Coralville, Iowa went to be with the Lord on January 15, 2026.

Perry was born on June 7, 1941 to Roger and Caroline (Yantis) Gantz in Tipp City, Ohio. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed time playing in the woods with his friends. In 1951, the family moved to Illinois and over the next eight years lived in several small towns throughout Illinois. Perry graduated from LaSalle/Peru High School in 1959. After graduation, he joined the United States Air Force where he served from 1961 to 1964 in Nebraska and Alaska.

He married the love of his life, Pamela (nee Cate) Gantz on Oct 21,1967 in Aurora, Illinois where they lived for the next 30 years. During their time in Illinois, Perry worked at AT&T as an electrician and as head of the Fire Team.

Perry cherished his family. In 1996, he and Pam moved to Coralville, Iowa where they would live together for the next 28 years enjoying time with his 4 grandchildren.

Perry is survived by his daughter, Jennifer (Curtis) Long of Coralville, his siblings Linda Moore, Michael (Holly) Gantz and Lisa (Sharon) Smith and four grandchildren, Clarissa (Frank) Weirich, Connor (Rylee) Hird, John Long and Carter Long.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Roger Gantz and Caroline Brady, beloved wife, Pam and his eldest brother, Sherrod Gantz.

Perry's love for this family and his wonderful sense of humor will be missed for the rest of our days. We love you, Dad. Until we meet again.

A graveside service will be held in the future at Oak Hill Cemetery.
