Perry Leonard Woodard, born on February 26, 1937, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to his parents William George Woodard and Rae Sargent Woodard, passed away on November 3, 2025, in Hamer, Idaho. He was 88. He dedicated his life to farming and ranching, as well as driving truck. Perry was a hardworking individual who knew the value of labor and enjoyed the land he worked on.
Perry received his education at Hamer Elementary, Roberts High School, Ricks College, and the University of Idaho in Moscow. He also served in the Army, reflecting his commitment to his country.
Perry married Bonnie Reva Stockham in 1960 in Salt Lake City, Utah. She preceded him in death. He married Patricia Ann Murphy in 1978 in Hamer, Idaho. They were later divorced.
In addition to his work, Perry had many interests. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating, and, of course, farming. These activities brought him joy and connected him to nature.
Perry is survived by his daughters Lori Gooding of Idaho Falls, Sherril Kae (Tom) Cole of Idaho Falls, Shirley Rae Woodard of Hamer, Shannon (Stacey) Tuckett of Idaho Falls, and Kristin (Jon) Castleton of Herriman, Utah. He is also survived by his brother, Jim (Ellen) Woodard of Oak Harbor, Washington, as well as 18 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents Bill and Rae Woodard, his wife Bonnie Woodard Hill, his sisters Libby Kruetzer and Shirley Kae Woodard, and his sons Perry "Rusty" Woodard and Teague Murphy.
Funeral services will be held on November 8, 2025 at the Community Baptist Church located at 220 S. Oakley Ave, Dubois, Idaho at 10:00 a.m. The family will visit with friends from 9:00 AM to 9:45 AM. He will be buried on the family farm.
