Pete Humanick

Pete Humanick, aged 71, of Locust Valley, PA, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 29, 2025, at his residence. Born on March 26, 1954, in Coaldale, PA, Pete was the beloved son of the late Adele (Zelonis) and Peter Humanick.
Pete was a proud graduate of Mahanoy Area High School, class of 1972. He dedicated many years of service to Koppy's Propane before retiring. A man of many passions, Pete was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting, fishing, and gardening. He was also a devoted fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers.
He was a member of the Mahanoy City Social Club and a member of both the former St. Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Church and St. Mary's Byzantine Catholic Church in Mahanoy City.
Pete is survived by his daughter, Jessica, wife of John Murphy, of Schuylkill Haven; his sons, Justin of Schuylkill Haven and Jacob of Northumberland; and his brother, Stephen, husband of Cindy, from Bruceton Mills, West Virginia. He also leaves behind his adored granddaughter, Grace Murphy, along with several nieces and nephews.
An Office of Christian Burial and Divine Liturgy will be held at St. Mary's Byzantine Catholic Church in Mahanoy City on Monday, June 9, at 11 AM, officiated by Rev. James Carroll. Friends and family are invited to gather for visitation from 10 to 11 AM at the church.
