Pete G. Pahno

1926 - 2022

Born in Norfolk, VA Sept 29, 1926, Pete G. Pahno, peacefully departed this world on January 6, 2022.

A Norfolk native and proud Maury High School graduate, Pete was a much beloved character in the Hampton Roads community. He had numerous friends and customers and was always ready with a quick joke or comical remark. He treasured his monthly lunch meetings with his buddies and always volunteered to organize another Maury reunion. He was a champion bowler and was inducted into the "300" club several times. He was also involved with the Ahepa chapter at the Greek Orthodox Church. After a stint in the Army, he directed his lifelong attention to his printing career, starting in 1954 and ending in 2014. He and his sons ran Dominion Printing and after 68 years, he reluctantly retired early, at the age of 88.

Pete is survived by his beloved wife, Frances Gwynn, of 68 years; son, Stephan W. Pahno (Melanie) of FLA; daughters, Laura P. Williamson (Ashton) of Va. Beach, and Cheryl P. McKinnon (Tom) of MD; and family friend, Lori Gehret; grandchildren, Jessica, Taylor, Logan, Audrey, Chloe, Max and Amanda plus great-grandchildren, Hollyn, Chase, Reese, Kinsley, Kyle and Kalvin and numerous remaining nieces and nephews who loved him dearly. He is also survived by brother, Mickey Pahno (Irene) and George. He was predeceased by sons, David, Pete and Michael and parents, George & Ellen Pahno.

A memorial service will be held at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home at 8464 Tidewater Dr., Norfolk, on Jan. 12 at 12 Noon, to be followed by internment at Forest Lawn Cemetery at 8100 Granby Street, Norfolk. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.hollomon-brown.com.
