Peter Louis "Pete" Battista III

I first met Peter when I was 13. It was the Apple Festival parade in 1980. I was walking to the cheerleading float for RJH Raiders it was past the HHS Bearcat band. I noticed him because he was staring at me unflinching. Our eyes met and I smiled and kept walking. I turned around to see if he was still watching me. He was still watching me, smiling. He was a rock star. Always.

Well, saying I'm in shock about Pete's passing, is an understatement & he will be missed but I'll always have our times hanging out at our places at Summit in the 90s or downtown Hendo at Hannah's..Pete was a laid back cat, that always wanted to be in the middle of the action..Will miss you bro & hate that I hadn't been home in yrs to hang out..Tell Debbie up there I said Whats up chick...Barry Jones
