Mr. Peter Robert Buwalda

Peter Robert Buwalda, 87, passed away November 29, 2010 in Orlando, Florida. He was born December 28, 1922 in Muskegon, Michigan. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend. Peter was best known for helping others and always put others above himself. Mr. Buwalda was a veteran of the US Army, serving during WWII and worked as a Military Police, and a volunteer Fireman in Michigan. He was a Meat Cutter by trade; he inherited his parents Grocery Store and operated it for several years. He was a Jack of all trades and a good salesman working in the food industry. He also worked for Orange County Schools as a bus monitor in the special needs bus. He also worked as a security guard at Gulfstream Harbor and his hobbies were Tennis and Ping Pong. He is survived by his wife, Marilyn Buwalda of Orlando, FL, sons Dale J.Buwalda of Winter Park and Peter J. Buwalda and his wife, Darla; grandchildren, David, John, Hannah, Nathan and Rachel Buwalda all of Hilda, SC; and sisters, Mary Dykema, Beverly Larson and Barbara Rathbun.
