Peter Cabral Obituary

Born in New Bedford, son of the late John and Barbara (Valladoa) Cabral, he lived in Dartmouth for most of his life.
He was a graduate of St. John's Prep in Danvers.
Peter honorably served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam Era.
He was formerly employed as a purchasing agent at Otis Air Force Base for many years until his retirement.
Peter enjoyed riding his Harley, watching the Patriots, and traveling with his wife.
He is survived by his wife, Vicky of Dartmouth; his son, Troy Cabral of Las Vegas, NV; two step-children, Chris Cuddy and his partner Caitie Quaney of Colorado Springs, CO, and Kim Cuddy Graver and her husband Todd Graver of Chesapeake, VA; and five grandchildren, Brayden Cabral and his wife Allie, Joseph Rusert-cuddy, Sean Cuddy, Nathan Graver, and Ryan Graver.
He was pre-deceased by his step-mother, Enoia Cabral.
Peter's family would like to thank the staff at Community Nurse Home and Hospice Care and the Hawthorn Kidney Center for the compassionate care provided to him during his illness.
His Funeral Service will be held Friday, September 27, 2024 at 12 Noon in the Saunders-Dwyer Mattapoisett Home for Funerals, 50 County Road, Mattapoisett. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 10 AM - 12 Noon, prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, donations in Peter's memory may be made to Community Nurse Home Care, 62 Center Street, Fairhaven, MA, 02719. I vividly recall arriving to St John's a bit late on my first day as a resident student, walking into the dining hall and joining Peter, Chris Burns, and Henry Chimalinski at the table. Even thought I was standing, It seems as though they all towered over me even though they were sitting.
