Peter was family on my grandmothers side. He was also my brothers special Ed teacher. He was such an influence in my brothers life , encouraging him to do more than he thought he could. My parents thought so highly of Peter. Prayers to Rose and their children

Coach Comune was a force of nature on the football field and in the hallways at school; his no-nonsense approach to instruction made us better individuals both on and off the field. Thanks Coach.

My condolences are extended to the Comune family. Pete was a processional in the truest sense of the word and a gentleman of the old school. Our loss is heaven“s gain. Requiescat in pace.

A wonderful, hard working soul. Mr. Commune was a football coach at West Orange HS in the early 70's. I played for him for 3 years. He was a favorite with all the players because he made football fun. Mr. Comune also worked with my father at the Essex County Penitentiary. Haven't seen Mr Comune since HS, but have many fine memories. Rest in Peace.
