Peter Deeb

To the Deeb family,

Peter Deeb was one of the most elite of soldiers, a Darby's Ranger. His service to his nation will never be forgotten by the ranger community, Rangers Lead The way. God Bless him.

Mr Deeb was also a friend of fellow Ranger Capt Charles Shunstrom who died Dec 2 1972 at Buffalo, NY, a troubled and destitute and forsaken hero of WW II . Mr Deeb , and two other rangers attended the funeral and brought an American flag for Capt Shunstrom's casket, which the US government would not supply. If anybody knows more about this , I would welcome their contacting me in an effort to get full burial rights for this fellow ranger.

I remember Peter Deeb and his family fondly. They were part of the neighborhood and my growing up. My condolences to his family.

Today, 11/10/07 while researching Spaulding Fibre on line, I found Peter's Obituary, a mysterious coincidence. I grew up at 23 James Street and worked my first job as summer relief at Spaulding Fibre. I remember Deeb's store and the catering and vending at Spaulding. I consider Peter a neighbor and family friend. I am saddened by his passing, but continue to remember Peter fondly. My sincerest condolences.

Deeb family, I'm sorry Dido's gone. In these times of global political uncertainty, we can only marvel at what this quiet, independent spirit contributed and his humble impact on world history. My sympathies to you all.
