Dr Pete was one of the nicest people I've ever known. My mom was one of his first patients and introduced me to him. They bonded over the fact that my dad had been a dentist during the Korean War and my mom gave Pete my dads army dental kit. He was proud of it and would show it off to all that entered his home! He was also my dentist for many years and was kind and gentle practitioner. Because I travel to Maine in the summer, my friend Robin and I agreed to stay with his mom, Ane, for a week in her beautiful Nantucket home. Boy, was that an adventure! Pete was devoted to his mom and ended up "rescuing" us when she proved more than we could handle! Ill never forget riding his battered old jeep "island car" down a deserted spit of beach in Nantucket to catch a sunset striped bass....Bowman in the front seat, us in the back, music blaring. So kind with a smile that would light up a room. I will miss you my friend.

Many years ago, As a winter snowbird with a toothache, Peter came to my rescue. After moving here 20 years ago I came to know Peter. Being the age of my own children I often thought of him the same way. What describes Peter and how do I remember him? He was one of the most dearest, kindest, humble, gentle hearted souls ever. Strong in his faith, we often spoke of the Lord. He spoke of his children and how he cared for his mom. He was always there for every dental emergency I had over the years and will always have a grateful heart for that. Most recent, he encouraged me to seek care and treatment at MUSC Dental School. Once again giving me the best advice and verbal care as he did over many years. I have wonderful and fond memories and he will always have a special place in my heart. After all, how many patients have fresh flounder and shrimp delivered to their door by their dentist! I have and will continue to miss him. Rest in peace dear Peter.

Pete was a kid at heart. Dentistry was a means to earn a living to enjoy all that life gives him. He loved volleyball, fishing, and hunting more than any thing. As a dentist he did what you needed and no more. He never put you in his chair to upsale you on the newest thing in dentistry. I had total respect for his philolosphy in the field. May God rest his sou. lb

I met Pete through my boys, Glenn and Jake on a volleyball court. He had just knocked me senseless in the head with a volleyball. He gave me a big hug and made sure I was alright before continuing play. Later, he was the best, most caring dentist I ever had. I'll miss him every day.

Pete will be missed. He made a huge impact on my life, and every time I saw him he knew how to make me smile. I will never forget the music he played and the bible verses he read to me. He was a sweet soul, with a warm smile that I will always remember.
