Peter Edward Blas Diaz, born on August 22, 1963, in Saipan, entered eternal rest on October 15, 2024, in Las Vegas. He was a dedicated lineman with the Electric Company, where he brought light to many and exemplified the virtues of hard work and commitment.
Peter's life was characterized by joy, love, and deep connections with family. He is survived by his beloved wife Mina, and a remarkable lineage of children: Gina, Ruben, Alicia, Amira, Kina Tenorio, and Josh Mafnas, as well as Guadalupe, Adelaida, Peter Jr., Abigail, Jesus, Kathleen, and Chaz. His legacy extends to his cherished grandchildren, Kailani, Auria, Kelsy, Damarion, Taimaine, and Jacob, each of whom holds a special place in his heart.
Peter's family bonds were enriched by his mother-in-law, Irene Tenorio Hernandez, and his step-mother, Dolores Manalo-Diaz. He is also lovingly remembered by his siblings, Jeffrey, Lani, and their family, and Silina Diaz and family, along with numerous siblings-in-law including Debra, Vicente and family, Davie, Kathy and family, Eddie, Tina and family, Elizabeth and Roy and family, Velma and Henry and family, Carleen and Bill and family, Jeremy Manalo and family, Jesse and Shirley and family, Manny, Novelyn and family, Ignacio Tenorio and family, Antoinette, Daniel and family, and Joaquin, Rushelle and family.
Peter's love extended beyond his immediate family, as he reared two additional children, Cornelius and Deanna, offering them guidance and affection. His warm spirit will be sorely missed by numerous extended family members and friends who had the privilege of knowing him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jose DeLeon Guerrero Diaz and Teresita Blas Diaz; his parents-in-law, Jesus Villagomez Tenorio and Larry Hernandez; as well as other family members including siblings-in-law James DeLeon Guerrero Diaz, Joseph DeLeon Guerrero Diaz, Eddie Villanueva, Vicente Teregeyo, and Roy T. Cruz, and his niece and nephew, Kimberly Ann Diaz Takai and Christopher M. Del Rosario.
The family invites all who knew Peter to join in honoring his memory. A nightly Rosary will be held at 7 PM at Silina Diaz’s residence in Las Vegas, Nevada. Additionally, daily Masses of intentions will be offered at the Mt. Carmel Cathedral in Saipan at 6 AM and at St. Jude Church daily at 6 PM.
A funeral service for Peter will be held at Davis Funeral Homes & Memorial Park - Rainbow Chapel on Wednesday, October 23, 2024, from 1 PM to 5 PM.
Peter Edward Blas Diaz's legacy of love and compassion will forever live on in the hearts of those who had the honor of calling him family and friend. His kindness and joyful spirit will continue to inspire all who knew him, and he will be greatly missed.
