I worked with Pete for several years at Lippmann Milwaukee. He always had this great laugh, and he LOVED Italian food. We found a great Italian restaurant in New Jersey right by Giants' stadium and he always wanted to eat there. I thought very highly of Pete. He was a very good man who gave me the encouragement and support to grow. I'll miss you Pete!

I am so blessed to have been a friend of Pete, a short story to say what kind of person Pete was, I worked with Pete for 10 yrs and one Friday we were at lunch, Pete asked if I had any plans for the weekend and my response was no not really, just at that time my wife called and asked if she could join us for lunch, of course I said sure, when my wife arrived Pete asked her if she had any plans for the weekend and she stated it was our wedding anniversary weekend and she had hoped I planned something for us, well of course I didnt, after lunch on our way back to the shop Pete had asked me if I had made any plans for us and my response was no I didnt. Well after about an hour of being back at the shop Pete called me up to his office and told me I better get ahold of my wife and we need to get home to start packing our bags cause we were flying out to Las Vegas tonight for our anniversary, my response was your joking right because that was Petes nature, however he was serious and then he told me I better let my boss know I need a vacation day for Monday because we were not returning until Monday night, Pete scheduled and paid for our trip to Vegas, the next day we were remarried by Elvis, that is the man Pete was and will be missed every day. Amanda, I can also say your dad was so proud of you and loved you so much, every time Pete spoke of you he had a glow about himself, and his huge smile is one I will never forget. His gigantic heart will be missed.

I was truly blessed to be a friend of Pete, a short story to say what kind of person Pete was, I worked next to Pete for 10 years and one Friday we were at lunch and Peter asked what my plans were for the weekend, my reply was the same as usual, oh nothing much, it is my wedding anniversary this weekend, my wife called at that same moment and asked if she could join me for lunch, of course I said sure, when she arrived Pete asked her what her plans were for the weekend and she said it was our anniversary weekend and she was hoping I made some type of plans, on our way back to the shop Pete asked me if in fact I had made any plans and my reply was of no. About a hour after lunch Pete called me to his office and told me I need to call my wife and tell her to get home and we better start packing our suit cases cause he just booked and paid for us both to fly to Las Vegas for our anniversary, and tell my boss that I would not be back to work until Tuesday, I thought he was joking because that was Pete's nature but he wasn't , we flew to Vegas that night and we got remarried by Elvis the next day. I loved that man and we will all miss him dearly. Amanda I can also say your dad was so proud of you and loved you so much, he always glowed and had such a huge smile when he spoke about you

I love Pete and I love the Emmers . My kids felt like they new Pete because I would not shut my cake hole about my buddy. My dad died about four years ago and at the funeral there was a star that enveloped four angels walking up a walkway that came out of nowhere. Here it was Shane Jones, Randy Nick, Joel Salzman and Pete Emmer that came there for my family after 35 years of no contact. RIP my buddy.

May Pete's soul be at heavenly peace in God's kingdom, and may God give his family comfort through the many friends and relatives who loved him and his family. Our family knew and loved Pete when we lived in Sussex and know he'll be dearly missed by many. Our deepest sympathies and prayers go out to the Emmer family. From the Thorpe family.
