Peter Timothy "Tim" Geis, 57, of Manistique, MI and formerly of Otsego, MI was welcomed into the arms of our Lord and Savior in Heaven on January 3, 2024. Tim left this world, loved and cared for to the very end, surrounded by his loving family. On June 16, 2001, Tim married his true companion, the former Angela Rebecca Wallace in Berrien Springs, MI. The couple was blessed with one son, Matthew Lee.
Tim was born in Detroit, but grew up from the age of 3 in Russell Twp. and Solon, Ohio. As a child he loved swimming and skiing. He participated in football, wrestling, and track in high school, before going on to Calvin College (now University). Tim loved his work as a Christian psychologist, as this fulfilled God's call on his life. He was curious to learn new things, and had many interests; sharing his Christian faith, travel, motorcycling, home remodeling, new technology, science fiction and especially spending time with Angie and son Matthew. Tim was loved and respected for being kind, gentle, funny, loving, dedicated and faith filled. His perseverance and positive attitude toward his health struggles served as a testimony to many people of God's provision.
Tim is survived by wife, Angela Rebecca Geis and son Matthew Lee Geis of Manistique, MI; mother, Mary Lou Geis of Allendale, MI; mother-in-law, Sylvia Ann Wallace-Boal; sister, Kimberly (Glenn) DeRitter of Jenison, MI, brother-in-law, James (Tamekia) Wallace of Dallas, TX. Nephews, Ben (Rachel) DeRitter, Josh (Emily) DeRitter and Nieces Hannah (Scott) Robinson; Leah DeRitter, and MacKenzie Wallace. Also surviving are his uncle, Clarke Thacker (Nancy); aunt, Diane Geis; Cousins, Norm (Vicki) Geis; Leslie (Gary) deGrandmaison; Jeffrey (Blanca) Geis; Stacey (Peter) Isaacson; Scott (Jamie) Thacker; Mark (Charlie) Thaker; Chris (Renee) Thacker; Andy ( Terri) Thacker.
Tim is preceded in death by his father, Peter Hardy Geis, his father-in-law, Gary Lee Wallace and step-father-in-law, John H. Boal.
Visitation for Tim will take place on January 17, 2024, at Fausett Family Funeral Homes in Manistique from 4-6 pm, with a memorial service to follow at 6 pm with Pastor Nat Erickson officiating. A funeral service will take place in Plainwell/Otsego at a later date, to be announced by the family.
Memorial donations can be directed to the family for expenses.

With deep sadness it was to hear of the loss of Dr. Tim. Yes I called him that name because he was my rock in therapy sessions. He gave me hope in my despair. I felt like I was starting to live again. I Cannot begin to describe how he made an impact on me. I know God truly worked in him. Everything he said, I always felt the presence of God in our sessions. He spoke of his beautiful wife, and son, Matthew at times during our sessions, and you could just feel the love he has for them. I´ve been to a few therapist in my life time, no not one has helped me the way he has during very difficult times. Next to God he was my saving Grace. How blessed I am to know of such a great man. He will be greatly missed. Lisa Macpherson
