Peter Hofmann

I am sad we never met you in person but I always listened to your music. I only found out over the weekend my Oma Theresia Hofman born in Marinebad 1900 was your Tante..she had sisters and brothers but they lost contact after they fled to germany in 1945 (with her 2 boys Richard and Erich Kraut) Theresia married Anton Kraut in ? 1940 i think in Marinebad/ Sudetenland. I think my dad and Peter and Fritz are 1st cousins. My grandparents never spoke of the past only that it was 'bad. I live in Perth Australia and looking into the family tree/ history and hope to meet some of our 'separated family. My parents Erich u Waltraud Kraut still live in Germany near Kassel. I have a photo of myself ..i could be Peters little sister ..we look much alike in the 80's ..must upload.

His life was not in vain. He has given us memorable performances and memories. May he rest in peace.

I was introduced to Peter's work when visiting my Munich cousins in the 1980s. I bought his album that featured "House of the Rising Sun" in Germany. My husband's design company in New Hampshire played Peter's music for inspiration during the workday. All of the designers enjoyed signing along with Peter.
May he rest in peace.

I will go home tonight and play my old LPs with his heavenly voice which will live on as will his memory in all his fans.

I did not know Peter personally but I know he must have been dear to many. I know words bring little comfort but I hope these will help to soothe the pain. (2 cor. 1:3,4)

I am so sorry to hear about Peter Hofmann's passing. He has shared with us his gift for musik for so many years and we are really greatfull for that. He will live on in his musik. He may be gone from this Earth but he is surely not forgotten.
