Peter Charles Hulse of Scranton, Pennsylvania passed away on June 3, 2025 at home after an illness. He was preceded in death by his wife Donna L. Culkin Hulse.
Born November 17, 1955, in Glen Ridge, NJ, son of the late Charles Gilbert and Esther Louise Pfaffenroth Hulse, Peter was a 1974 graduate of Valley Central High School and earned his associate's degree from Sullivan Community College. For many years Peter was employed as a free-lance graphic artist with Classic Case Corporation in Middletown NY, Highlights Magazine for children, and spent his later years prior to retirement working for Pesavento Monuments in Scranton, PA.
A loving husband, father, brother and grandfather, Peter enjoyed being silly with loved ones and reminiscing of days gone by. In his time alone he loved riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle that he fondly named Rhonda. Taken too soon, Peter will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Peter is survived by his daughter Jessie Hulse, of Kingston, New York, grandchildren Charles and Ava, and sister Gretchen Bell and husband Robert of Ridgewood, New Jersey.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00am on June 28th at the First Presbyterian Church, 137 Clinton Street, Montgomery, New York. A private burial will be in St. Catherine's Cemetery, Scranton, Pennsylvania at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the First Presbyterian Church or to NAMI, (National Alliance on Mental Health).
