Peter J. Jablonski

Peter J. Jablonski, 76, passed away on Wednesday, March 18, 2026, with his wife by his side at Twin Ports Health in Superior, WI.

Peter was born on June 28, 1949, in Duluth, Minnesota, to Seraphine (Ciurleo) and Leonard Jablonski. He graduated from high school and went on to earn diplomas in mechanical drafting and auto mechanics.

Pete married Gloria Charbonneau June 26, 1993, in Superior and they had 33 happy years together.

He proudly served his country in the United States Army from 1969 to 1975 as a unit supply specialist. During his service, he was stationed at Fort Dix, New Jersey, and the Giessen Army Depot in Germany.

Peter was an active member of the Grand Lodge Order of the Elks, where he was honored as Officer of the Year (1998–1999) and Elk of the Year (1999–2000).

He had a wide range of interests and hobbies, including hunting, woodworking, coin collecting, collecting Coca-Cola memorabilia, journaling, studying history, and working on cars. Peter will be remembered for his dedication to his service, his community involvement, and the many passions that brought him joy throughout his life.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and his brother, Michael.

Peter is survived by his wife, Gloria; his son, Jon Jablonski; his daughter, Amy Chen; his stepdaughters, Angela Mateiasi and Rebecca (Christopher) Bower and his granddaughter, Jordan Chen.

Visitation will held Tuesday, March 24, 2026, from 10:00 am until the 11:00 am funeral service at Downs Life Celebration Center, 1902 N. 34th St., Superior, WI, with Pastor Kirk Schield officiating. Military honors accorded by the Richard I. Bong American Legion Post #435. Inurnment will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
