Peter John Lane, 67, a resident of Winchester NH and formerly of Connecticut, passed away quietly and unexpectedly on Monday, January 19, 2026, at Cheshire Medical Center.

He was born a son to the late Evelyn (Petersen) and Warren Lane on December 3, 1958, in West Hartford, CT. He was educated locally and graduated from Northwest Catholic School in Connecticut.

On October 1, 1983, Peter exchanged vows with the love of his life, Beth A. Loomis. They had a simple ceremony in Mansfield, CT. with family and friends celebrating them.

Peter enjoyed his time working for Lebon Press in Hartford as a press manufacturer for 20 years until he left in (2012). He continued to work different jobs over the years including Sadlak Industries as a repair man and as a siding installer construction laborer in Coventry.

He lived a life defined by generosity, devotion, and a love of simple pleasures. He enjoyed spending time at the gun range, snowmobiling, riding four-wheelers, and hosting pig roasts for friends and local clubs. A true foodie, he loved cooking and sharing meals with anyone who crossed his path, believing food was best enjoyed together. He was always willing to lend a helping hand to neighbors and was known as a giver in every sense of the word. Above all, he cherished time with his family and showed unwavering love and dedication as the devoted caregiver to his wife.

Mr. Lane is survived by his beloved wife of 42 years, Beth A. (Loomis) Lane of Winchester, their two children, Justin Lane of East Hartford, CT. and Brian Lane of Plainville, CT. He is also survived by his sister, Cheryl Dozer and her Partner Jody of Arizona, his two sisters in law, Melanie Spencer and Elaine Whitehouse, and his mother-in-law, Sharon Loomis. Peter was predeceased by his parents and his cousins, Jack and Gary Peterson.

A celebration of life will take place later in the spring. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to (Civilian Marksmanship Program).
