I was a guest preacher at St. Andrew's Dune Church -- one Sunday a summer for a dozen summers. So I got to sit next to Peter up in the chancel during the service, and I both admired and loved him. How could you not. I thought he would live forever -- he had a timeless way about him. I'm devastated that we've lost him, and count myself as so very lucky that I knew him. -- Roger Paine, Boulder, Colorado

Peter helped me bury three beloved family members. He came to our house after my father died. When he walked inside and talked to us, it was like having a dear member of the family there, and his ability to give us comfort was unmatched. I remember showing him to my brother's room, where he could put on his formal robe. It was a strange moment, perhaps, but he and I laughed at the time about something that I cannot remember, but I do remember the feeling it gave me. He was always genuine.
