Peter E. Masucci Jr. MD

We are so deeply saddened by the news of Dr. Masucci. We loved him. He was more than our children´s doctor up until their early 20´s he was a source of comfort, reassurance and gentle wisdom. We will forever remember his kindness and wonderful way he put our family at ease during every visit. The Sannella Family is forever grateful for the loving care he provided. May he rest in eternal paradise with all the saints and angels and May God comfort the Masucci family with his love and strength.

He was my children´s doctor for 7 years before he retired from birth-7 y/o. He was on call when my son was born in the hospital. He was very gental, kind and knowledgeable. He was truly the best doctor. Condolences to his entire family.

Today my heart is heavy as I think about the incredible Dr. Massucci. He wasn´t only my pediatrician growing up, but he later became my daughter´s as well. Just recently, she and I had the chance to see him together, and it was such a full-circle moment that I will always treasure.

Dr. Massucci was more than a doctor-he was a true gift to so many families. His kindness, compassion, and genuine care touched generations, and he had a way of making every patient feel like they truly mattered. He was a big part of my life, and I know he was a big part of so many others´ lives too.

The impact he made will never be forgotten. His legacy lives on in every life he touched, every child he cared for, and every parent he supported. I am so thankful for the love and care he gave to both me and my daughter.

Rest peacefully, Dr. Massucci. You will forever hold a special place in our hearts.

I´m just heartbroken! I was a new mother in 1978 and Dr Masucci was just out of medical school and practicing in Winthrop. He was my absolute savior! From feeding struggles to toilet training difficulties, his advice was always just what I needed. He had a very nice way of making me feel like I was doing a great job, always commenting on how my boys were thriving. My sincere condolences to his family.

Dr. Masucci helped me so much when I had my first baby, Stephen. As a first time mother I had so many questions. Dr. Masucci would take phone calls for I believe an hour to ask him questions and seek his advice. I always had a written list. He never rushed our phone calls. He was so kind, helpful, smart, patient understanding and compassionate. He was always happy and smiling. He never rushed a well or sick visit. After I had my second baby, Kristina I had less questions. I couldn´t have gotten through the years of being a new mother without Dr. Masucci by my side. Stephen and Kristina, as was I, were so sad when they got older and couldn´t see him as a pediatrician. Thank you Dr. Masucci for being my children´s pediatrician and my friend. We will never forget you.

To Donna and the entire Masucci family, I was truly saddened to hear today about Peter´s passing. I will always appreciate working with him in his practice in Everett, which gave me the best foundation I could imagine starting my NP career. It was truly a family-like atmosphere. We were able to support each other and share experiences as our own children grew up. The staff all had the same goal of taking the best care of the patients. We managed to have plenty of laughs along the way as well! A couple of things I always remember Peter saying are, "They/She/He means well" (with perhaps a difficult parent situation) and "It shouldn´t be too bad" (talking about covering on a holiday or Saturday...when we may then have 60+ patients come in). I can still hear him saying these things. He was so supportive when we opened the first school-based health center in Everett as well. He was always available for a consult and my questions. My daughter Nicole just turned 39 on August 15. She saw Dr Masucci from the time she was born in 1986 until she was about 18. I think he would´ve been her doctor until he retired if he hadn´t told her that as much as he enjoyed being her doctor it was time she go to a different kind of doctor because he was a pediatrician-lol. I had another daughter named Courtney in 1997 and he was her doctor until we moved away when she was in the 2nd grade. Everyone that I knew took their kids to him and we all had the utmost respect for him. He was truly an admirable man/doctor. They don´t make them like him anymore. He was truly one of a kind! His smile was always so welcoming especially when you went there with a sick child and he not only comforted your kids but he also made you feel like everything was going to be ok. I feel lucky to have known him and blessed that both of my daughters had such a wonderful doctor. May fond memories and all of these heartfelt moments that we write about him bring a smile to his families faces and a feeling of pride knowing he touched so many people. Rest in peace Dr Masucci.

Dr. Masucci was such a wonderful person. He took care of my children like they were his own. He was so compassionate, understanding, and just wonderful. May he rest in the sweetest peace, and prayers to his loved ones and family.

My wish for him is that where ever he may be now, he is provided the care and love that he showed not only to my daughters, but to our family and all of the families he put his heart into taking care of. To his family, thank your for sharing your husband, brother, son, father, and grandfather with all of us. This small piece of the world was made better because of his love.

In December 1981 Dr. Masucci delivered a little baby girl of 3lbs 6oz. Today she is a Mom herself. His dedication and bed size manner could not have been any more comforting. Rest in Peace Dr. Masucci.

He was a wonderful doctor! He helped us through many issues right through adulthood! A fine man! I knew my kids were in great hands with him!

Peter was the finest example of what a pediatrician should be...kind, compassionate and caring with a great sense of humor. He leaves a very deep hole in the Everett community and will be missed by so many. It was a pleasure to have known him and his wonderful family!

Dr. Masucci was a lifelong friend and practically a second father. I grew up in his office, coming to work with my mom, helping to file, and drawing pictures that he always loved (no matter how bad they were). When I had children of my own, he was right there to support me and them with all of the same love. I will remember him as the most kind and loving man anyone could have the honor of knowing.
