So sorry to hear of Pete´s passing.

I enjoyed our neighborly and professional times in Martins Landing and @ Canon. It was fun to occasionally car pool with Pete to CUSA.

Pete was a mensch.

RIP Pete..

Pete and I were tennis partners only once, but it is one of my favorite tennis memories. It was obvious from the beginning that we were outgunned. We did lose the match, but we made them work for the win. It felt like Pete and I had played together for years. Comfortable and loads of fun.

I will remember Pete as always being happy and bringing cheerfulness to every occasion.

Pat, I will keep you, Pete, and your family in my prayers.

Pete and Pat have been our treasured friends and travel buddies for more than twenty years. Ken and I sought out every chance to share adventures, from their visits to our home in Asheville, trips to Banner Elk and hikes off the Blue Ridge Parkway, to Fripp Island and Charleston, we enjoyed it all so much.

Our Irish connection was another bond, as well as our childhood days in Brooklyn and New Jersey. We spoke with Pete on the phone a few weeks ago and shared a laugh about a favorite old movie, 'My Cousin Vinnie'. We recalled how they would refer to the 'Yoots' (youths) and laughed about Joe's Pesci's hilarious 'New Yawk' lawyer stuck in Alabama. I reminded him how much we both loved him, which will always be true. Pete told me that he loved us too, words to hold close to my heart, always. His memory will always be a blessing.

Ken Roth Seventy years. I met Pete along with my younger brother Fred when the family moved from Brooklyn to Dumont, NJ. At 11 years of age Pete;s personality was formed. It was "let's see what we can get away with" And when questioned his answer was "we had no guidance". In retirement Anne and I restarted the adventure all over again with Pat and Pete. Being together was more important than what we did.

Pete had a 25 letter alphabet. Missing was the letter I. It was always we or us as he was never one to call attention to himself.

Our friendship! Really two words both a life long buddy and a journey. With Pete I could not have asked for more.

Four of us tennis buddies were going down to Florida one Spring to try our hand at catching some big Florida bass. Pete wasn´t really a fisherman, but he did find a dilapidated old spinning rod in his garage, and after wiping off the cobwebs he presented that and a couple of little spinner baits as his equipment for the trip. Then, on our first day on the lake, Pete declared that he planned to catch a crappie and a pickerel. Now, throwing a treble-hooked lure into the weed beds and lily pads of a Florida lake is not just foolhardy, it´s simply impossible. So, after telling Pete how ridiculous that goal was, we humored him and went about our business as serious, expert fishermen. The experts didn't catch a single largemouth bass that day, but Pete, quietly and with no fanfare, caught . . . . a crappie and a pickerel! That was thirty years ago, and I have never figured out how Pete did it, but I'll never stop wondering . . . and smiling at my memories of Pete. Rest in peace forever, my dear friend.

So glad we met Pete when he and Pat visited years ago. My cousin Pat was someone I looked up to when we lived next door. I know Pete had excellent care by her. So sorry to hear of his passing.

I met Pete at a local tennis club when I moved to Atlanta. We were a couple of learners on a beginning level tennis team. He was among my best friends for almost 40 years.

Pete was many things, but "thrifty" was his trademark. However, people probably don´t know how generous he was. For example, he once told me about a great closeout deal he got on a bunch of portable space heaters. I asked him what he planned to do with them. He replied, "I´m going to give them to the homeless." I replied, "Where are they going to plug them in?" I still remember the look on his face. Nevertheless, as resourceful as ever, he found several charitable uses for them.

I had the privilege of seeing him three days before he passed. I held his hand and couldn´t tell if he could hear or understand me. Now I think of all the things that should have been said. I hope he can hear me now.

Pete was a good friend and business cohort at Canon. We enjoyed many fun, competitive tennis matches. I remember him telling me that on long trips, he would get out of the car, go on a run to stretch his legs and then get back on the road. Pete taught me how to get the highest quality of life for each dollar earned. We will always be grateful for his friendship. Rest in Peace my friend. Jack and Janet Latone

Pete and Pat were with me on Charleston SC when we went to a barbecue restaurant for dinner. Good food, but no alcohol. Unacceptable to Pete. He drank his soda, (or somehow disposed of it), He took the cup to his car and filled it with wine, brought it back to enjoy his meal. I also remember his penchant for also securing the best deal on a hotel room or car rental.
