I always felt so special that I got to call Uncle Pete my Godfather. Spending weeks in the summer with my godparents and my cousins was something I always looked forward to doing when I little. I'd be anxiously awaiting that break, and always trying to stay just a few days longer. He'd usually give in to at least one skyline Chili request (since I couldn't get it in Chicago) or a Dairy Queen run when I would visit which also made me feel pretty special. I'll miss our catchups at reunions and visits. Getting to brag a little bit to Uncle Pete about my children and family was the best! He always made me feel like he was proud of me. I'll appreciate that forever.

I am so sorry to hear about Pete. He certainly was full of charm...and always fun to talk to whenever our paths crossed at Nativity, where our kids grew up. May he be dancing with the angels and saints!

If was a joy to hear my Big Brother Bill always share a great story about his good friend Pete! I have no doubt Bill was at the gate when Pete arrived.

Maureen and Family, our deepest sympathy to you and your family. We will always remember Peter at the family reunions at "The Farm" in Rehoboth. He would clue us in on our Family Tree( The Rochas). Thank you, Peter, for your patience and kindness. You will be missed. Rest In Peace, Peter. Love, Thelma and Joni( Cousins)

Maureen:

I remember Peter 4 years ago at a holiday luncheon at my house in Broken Arrow. He was surrounded by McAulay women. As the only guy in the group he seemed right at home.

I know your family will be a comfort to you and I am so sorry for your loss.

Pete was a fixture in our neighborhood of Paddock Hills. He juggled the duties of a husband, father, restaurant owner, cheerleading parent/fan of his kids sports and proud grandfather. Our family ate many wonderful Mexican meals at his Daniels Restaurant near UC on short Vine, as our grew up. The food was first class, but it was Pete's character that made it special. My favorite memory was working alongside other neighbors in his food tent during a Summerfest event in MT. Adams, where Pete donated his time, talents and tacos for charity. May he rest in peace.

Pete gave our band, the Rythmatics and later, Zero Gravity our first chance to play in Clifton, which in the mid '80's was THE place to play.
I will miss his wry sense of humor and his devilish smile. I have one memory I can't unsee of him and that was in 1987 as he swatted 17 year cicadas off of the tree in front of Daniel's Pub with a broom. He will be sorely missed by all who knew him.
