Steve and I visit Pete's Legacy Diner often. This is our granddaughter with Pete. He gave her advice: "Pick good friends that your parents and grandparents approve."

A kind and gentle soul was the essence of Pete Metritikas. I was blessed to have known him for over 40 years, where we shared "name days" , parties and other gatherings especially with our Greek community.
He was kind and generous to a fault with everyone he encountered.
I will miss you very much, my dear friend.

" May your memory be eternal "

Although we lived quite a distance apart - my godfather Peter in Vestal, New York, and me in Toronto, Ontario - I deeply cherished our heart-to-heart conversations. Not only in good times, but also in challenging times, he was always there for me. He never hesitated to take my calls, always listened with patience and care, and often called simply to check in. His wisdom, guidance, and steady presence meant more to me than I can put into words.

My godfather was a man of strong faith, great kindness, and thoughtfulness. To me, he truly embodied what a godfather should be. I will miss him terribly and will always be grateful for the love and support he gave so freely throughout my life. I extend my heartfelt condolences to the entire family.

With love,
Angela, his goddaughter

Paul, Vicki and family, we are very sorry to hear of Pete´s passing. He worked hard and accomplished a lot in his lifetime. We will miss seething at the Diner. We enjoyed hearing his stories. Our thoughts and prayers are with everyone.
