Love and miss you Pete! Hard to believe it's been 21 years. Rest in Peace.

I worked with Pete in Amarillo. He all ways looked at everything through positive eyes. Someone had told me had had moved to New York which he talked about wanting to do. I did not know he was lost till I busted the George Bush library and saw his name listed. It was a very sad day. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family. Never Forget.

Peter was a great , kind and smart guy and everyone i know adored him and a great asset to Marsh!

Was at work today and, as it does so often, Pete's name came up. He impacted so many lives professionally and personally. Miss him still.

I went to High School with Pete. We wrestled together. He touched many of us from Highland Park, and his loss was felt by many.
My thoughts and prayers go out to Pete's family, on this the 12th Anniversary of this tragic event.

Pete, it has been several years since you have passed. My heart goes out to your family. We shared some fun times together in high school. I remember your love of the Beach Boys music and you would come by my home and we would listen to their music for hours and then go get ice cream. You were a kind and funny soul then and I see you shared many kind moments with others. My heart goes out to you and your family. I know that you are still shining down on your loved ones. As I stitched your name on the memorial that I am doing for all of the victims, I prayed for you and your family. Please know that your death was not in vain. We will always remember. God Bless.

This year two West Texas Cities, Lubbock & Odessa honored each person who perished during 9-11-2001, by displaying 3,412 3x5ft. American Flags in 2 city parks. Lubbock had theirs all 6'apart every direction you looked. Odessa had theirs all around a pond, the park is called Memorial Gardens, there were flags on either side of the walk-way all the way around the pond. They both were awesome sights. We had candle light services and called each persons name out and then placed a flag for them, on 9-10-2003.

We are Texas Cousins of Peter's, may he Rest In Peace, God Be With His Family...

May God bless each one of you and keep you in His loving care. I met Peter a few times when he was younger and saw him probably one time at his grandparent's home, Laura and Pete Gilliland, after he was older. His compassion for animals is one thing that I remember about Peter.

We spent so many hours in Amarillo talking about so many profound and interesting things. He loved to laugh and dreamed of moving back to Austin some day. He was incredibly kind and loyal. God rest his beautiful soul.

I knew Pete briefly during Highschool. I think of him often and am not at all surprised to see that he grew up to be such a sweet man... he was a great guy. I, to, waited to marry... I think of Meg and the brief time they had together and it rips my heart out. Meg, I continue to pray for you and always will.

We are with you in thought and prayer and send our love to each of you. May God continue to grant you strength and peace.

I didn't even know Peter but at school today to remember all he victims of 9/11 each student was given a necklce to wear some more then one and each had a name of someone who died that day. I got Peter and I thought his family and friends would appreciate knowing that people do care and are deeply sadden whether we knew him or not. Hope all goes well. :) -Sara

We are friends of Lanette (from Colorado) and Gus, and have been praying for you all since we heard the news. Though we did not personally know Peter, we are certain he was a very special man and thank God that you were able to be blessed with the time you did have together. We pray that God will fill your loss with peace and joy as He heals your hearts.

Pete was such a joy to visit with when he was in Amarillo. He always had a smile on his face. He touched the lives of many while here on earth. I know he is doing the same in Heaven. God Bless you Meg!

Although we didn't know Pete personally, we've known & loved Meg for many years. She waited so long for her prince charming - and found him in Pete. What joy she had in him. Although we share your grief, we have the hope that one day the separation will be ended and you will be together eternally. Our prayers are with you always, Meg.

Pete was a pledge brother of mine for a while, then he went over to the delts. Pete and I were good buds in college - we ran into each other working out over at Belmont Hall and Gregory gym. I have wonderful memories of Pete, and I am very sorry for your loss. When I saw his name in the Alcalde, I was shocked. He was a gentleman and a great guy! Sincerely, Mike Shepherd

I returned to NYC for the first time since 9/11 on February 12,2002. Seeing the hole in the skyline (from the plane)brought it all back to me.

It is difficult for me to believe that you have left. A friendship of 25 years, ended in a moment. My still comes back to the great moments in at UT, being in Barton Springs for whole summers. This terribly strange, to have to say goodbye, my friend you are in a better place, wait us......we will joint you again.
