Pete Palone, age 73, passed away on February 24, 2026.
Pete was born on September 27, 1952, in Paragould, Arkansas, to Patricia (Rose) Palone and Julius Palone.
He graduated from East Jefferson High School in New Orleans, Louisiana, and later lived in Houston, Texas, before moving to Colorado in 1978 — the place he would come to love most for its beautiful weather, blue skies, mountains, and the blessing of no humidity and no bugs.
In June 1983, he married the love of his life, Pam, beginning a marriage that spanned 42 years. Together they built a life centered on devotion, resilience, and family.
Pete had an entrepreneurial spirit. He owned a handyman service, a vending machine business, and a car wash at different points in his life, but he was most proud of his career as a high-rise building engineer. He dedicated many years to his work, taking great pride in his skills, his sense of responsibility, and teaching others. When his health began to decline, he stepped away from his career and devoted himself fully to caring for his family — a role he cherished.
He had a great love for The Beatles, old westerns, cruising, and time spent with family and friends. Simple moments at home brought him joy.
Pete is survived by his wife, Pam; their sons, Preston Palone (wife Megan) and Patrick Palone (wife Jenn); his children from a previous marriage, Paul Palone (husband Jeff) and Polly Eason (husband Sam); many grandchildren; his brother, Tony Palone (wife Nita); and his sister, Rosanna Trenchard (husband Bill), along with many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Steve Palone.
Pete will be remembered for his loyalty, his strong work ethic, his love of family, and the devotion he had for his wife. His life was one of dedication to the people he loved.
A service in memory of Pete will be conducted on March 4, 2026 at 10:00 am at Horan & McConaty Funeral Home, 11150 E. Dartmouth Ave., Aurora, CO
