To all of Peter´s Family: Peter was very talented, and generously shared those talents through a life of public service. I am grateful to have worked with Peter over many years, and I am very sorry for your loss.

I served with Peter on the U.S.S. Santa Barbara from the time he reported to the time I left for school in 1990. He was always quick with a joke as well as lending a hand to get the job done. He was a great friend and shipmate. He will be missed by more people than you know and I hold his memory deep in my heart and his family is in my prayers.

My favorite VAMC memories include the times spent chatting and laughing with Peter and Mary Beth. Seeing them at the front entrance at the end of the workday always made me smile. Peter's sense of humor is legendary. This was especially evident during the interview banter with the iconic Joe Condon on 95.5. Heaven just got a little funnier. Rest in peace fine sir.
