Peter Rahn Obituary

Peter Rahn, 81, longtime Manchester and Auburn resident, passed away on Nov. 28 at the Elliot Hospital while under palliative care.

He is survived by his wife Katherine Rahn of Manchester; a son, Devin Rahn; and two grandchildren, Emerson and Beckett of Florida. Casey Rahn, his second son, predeceased him. His extended family includes his twin sister Pat Rahn DeGrandpre of Exeter, New Hampshire, his brother Richard Rahn of Brooklyn, New York, and lifetime friend Spencer Levesque of Melbourne, Australia.

An alumni of Central High School (1959), Peter was a graduate of Burdette College of Boston, served in the U.S. Army during the Korean conflict and had a career in banking.

He will be remembered for his dry sense of humor, his love of dogs, an easygoing approach to life, and his abiding attention to the family camp in Moultonboro, New Hampshire.

A private celebration of life will be held in spring 2023. Arrangements are being handled by Peabody Funeral Home, Derry, New Hampshire. Guest book remembrances can be shared at peabodyfuneralhome.com.
