Peter J. "Buddy" Ringle Sr

Peter J. "Buddy" Ringle, 82, of Knox, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 27, 2025, in his home following an illness. He was born on March 22, 1943, in Knox and remained a lifelong resident of the community he loved.

On November 27, 1977, in Knox, Buddy married the love of his life, Dellia (Ritchie), and together they shared 48 years of unwavering devotion and partnership. A faithful member of Ober Baptist Church, Buddy lived his life guided by kindness, humility, and generosity.

Buddy was known as a hardworking man who took pride in everything he did. He carried a gentle, calming presence that made others feel at ease, and he was always willing to lend a hand to anyone in need. His caring heart, steady nature, and giving spirit touched countless lives throughout the years. Above all, Buddy was a devoted family man who cherished the time spent with those he loved.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Dellia; his son, Peter "Bud" (Mandy) Ringle Jr.; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; one sister, Sandy Gentry; and one half-brother, Rick Scarborough. He was preceded in death by his mother, Lile (Singleton) Sobinski; his son, Todd Ringle; and his sister, Donna.

It was Buddy's wish to be cremated, and his family is honoring those wishes. At this time, no viewing or services are planned. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Dellia to assist with burial expenses.

Buddy will be remembered for his big heart, his steady kindness, and the generous spirit he shared freely with others. His legacy of love and compassion will live on in all who knew him.
