Peter N. Waldorf

Peter N. Waldorf, age 49, of Corcoran, passed away Wednesday, November 15, 2017 while driving the combine on the family farm in Spring Hill, Minnesota. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, November 21 at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Spring Hill with Rev. Marvin Enneking officiating. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday and from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at the church in Spring Hill. Melrose Knights of Columbus and St. Michael's Men's Society will pray at 6 p.m. followed by parish prayers at 7 p.m. Monday evening at the church. Peter Norbert Waldorf was born December 26, 1967 in St. Cloud, Minnesota to Norbert and Julie (Schaefer) Waldorf. He graduated from Melrose High School in 1986 and continued his education at Willmar Technical Institute; graduating in 1988 with a Welding Technical Degree. He began working at Deltak in Plymouth and was working at Boilermakers Local Union 647 in Ramsey. On May 21, 1994, he was united in marriage to Gail Blenker at Seven Dolors Catholic Church in Albany. Peter was an avid fisherman and outdoorsman who was known for his prized Pickled Northern recipe. He was a "jack of all trades." He enjoyed getting lost in creating numerous woodworking masterpieces such as cedar chests, game tables, custom cabinets and much more. Peter was the jokester of the family who enjoyed throwing out many "one liners." He was a hard worker with a strong work ethic and loved going home to work on the farm. He died doing what he loved; combining. He dearly loved his wife and daughters who will always cherish his quirky dance moves and made up songs. He will be deeply missed by many. Peter was a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church in Corcoran and the Melrose Knights of Columbus Council 1633. Survivors include his wife, Gail and daughters, Jacklyn and Cortney Waldorf of Corcoran; parents, Norbert "Nubby" and Julie Waldorf of Spring Hill; brothers and sister, Robert (Jennifer) Waldorf of Deep Gap, NC, Andrew (Crystal) Waldorf of Stanwood, WA, Daniel (Barbara) Waldorf of Watkins, Jennifer (Lucas) Peifer of Sauk Centre, and Nicholas Waldorf of Spring Hill; and many nieces and nephews. Peter was preceded in death by his grandparents, Norbert Sr. and Frances Waldorf, Henry and Ida Schaefer; and father-in-law, Ralph Blenker. Serving as casket bearers will be Bob Waldorf, Andy Waldorf, Dan Waldorf, Nick Waldorf, Lucas Peifer and Jayson Revoir. Cross bearer will be Devin Waldorf and scripture bearer will be Lauren Blenker.
