Peter Donovan Wallace

Born in Los Angeles, California April 7, 1942, Peter Wallace peaceful passed on at the age of 80 on March 22, 2023 in Fairfield, IA. A private service is being held. Friends may leave online condolences and join the webcast on Peter's obituary page at www.cranstonfamilyfuneralhome.com.
Peter first met Maharishi Mahesh Yogi in early 60's and learned Transcendental Meditation (TM) from Maharishi in Rishikesh, India. He traveled with Maharishi throughout Europe and returning to the US, he and his brother Keith started the first Student International Meditation Society at UCLA. Peter went again to India in 1969 to attend a TM teacher training course in Rishikesh and for the rest of his life taught TM at various locations throughout the US. He worked as a scrimshaw artist and art dealer and at different times he owned several stories and galleries. He specialized in Russian Art. He received his MBA from Maharishi International University. Peter retired to the MIU community, often giving lectures to new students about his early days with Maharishi. Peter was one of the early pioneers of Maharishi worldwide movement. There will be a memorial for him at the beginning of April at MIU.
Preceded in death by his father and mother, Dr. William and Lillian Wallace, and Peter is survived by three children, Phillip, Ananda, and Charles, 5 grandchildren, and two brothers, Bill and Keith Wallace. He will be missed dearly.
