Peter E. Weber

After a lengthy courageous battle with Parkinson's Disease, Peter E. Weber gratefully entered eternal life with our most Merciful Blessed Trinity & graciously reunited with Irene (Luttig) his precious wife and friend ("half of my soul") for 47 years. He was 85; born in Milwaukee on January 14, 1938. He was the only child of Arthur J. and Marie (Kronser) Weber. He is survived by loving relatives, in-laws and friends.
Peter graduated from Marquette High School in 1955. He attended St. Francis de Sales Seminary and was ordained a priest for the Milwaukee Archdiocese on May 25, 1963. He was an associate pastor at St. Catherine Parish Milwaukee, St. Mary Parish Kenosha, and St. Rita Parish West Allis. He requested laicization from the Holy Father in 1969, which was granted by Pope Paul VI in 1970.
Peter began working for Milwaukee County in February 1969 as a social worker for the Adult Probation Department. In the fall of 1969 he returned to school, entering UW-Milwaukee School of Social Welfare and graduated in June 1971 with a Master's Degree in Social Work. He returned to Milwaukee County and worked at the Family Court Counseling Services until 1986. He then transferred to the Mental Health Center, where he worked at the Central Walk-In Clinic until he retired in January 1995.
Peter enjoyed the game of golf. He felt blessed having many friends with whom he played on a regular basis. He and Irene spent numerous vacations touring our National Parks and playing many of our country's beautiful golf courses along the way. He remained in awe of the ability of the game's professionals to strike the ball and play the game as expertly as they do.
Visitation will be at St. Catherine of Alexandria Church, 8661 North 76th Place, Milwaukee, Wisconsin on Wednesday, May 3rd from 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM with Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 11:00 AM. Following Mass, a luncheon will be held at Krause Funeral Home, 7001 West Brown Deer Road, Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery.
