Peter Zacheus Obituary
ROCK CITY FALLS - Peter Zacheus of Rock City Falls, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, and friend, passed away on Friday, September 19, 2025, surrounded by his loved ones. He lived his life with kindness, hard work, and an unwavering devotion to his family and community.
Peter proudly served with the Rock City Falls Fire Department, where he was not only a dedicated member, but also a trusted friend and helping hand to many. He also enjoyed a long and rewarding career with Bellevue Builders Supply, where he earned the respect and admiration of colleagues and customers alike, retiring after many years of dedicated service. Beyond work, Peter found great joy in farming, pouring his heart and energy into the land he loved.
Above all, Peter's greatest love was his family. He is survived by his beloved wife, Joan; his daughter, Jessica Carter (Todd); his sons, Timothy (Sue Jacobson) and Daniel (Krissy Clark); and his cherished grandchildren, Ashlynn, Emma, Hannah, and Dexter. He is also survived by his brothers-in-law, Paul Bouchard (Gretchen), David Bouchard (Denise), and Mark Bouchard (Florence); his sister-in-law, Linda Cooper (Todd); as well as several nieces and nephews. Peter was predeceased by his parents, Margaret and Joseph, and his sister, Francis.
He will be remembered for his big heart, steady presence, and the many ways he touched the lives of all who knew him. His legacy of love, service, and family will continue to live on through those he leaves behind.
Relatives and friends are invited to calling hours on Wednesday, September 24, 2025, from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m., at Armer Funeral Home, Inc., 39 East High St., Ballston Spa. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Thursday, September 25, 2025, at 9:30 a.m., at St. Mary's Church, Milton Avenue. Ballston Spa, followed by burial at Rock City Falls Cemetery.
Immediately after, family and friends are warmly invited to gather for a celebration of Peter's life at the Rock City Falls Firehouse, 1119 Rock City Rd., Rock City Falls.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Peter's honor to the Rock City Falls Fire Department, P.O. Box 25, Rock City Falls, N.Y. 12863.

Joan and family, sending you all sympathy for the loss of a very special person. Joan, we got to know you and Peter from church at Saint Paul´s and St. Mary´s in Galway. You both were always ready with a welcoming smile and numerous anecdotes.
