Philene Gotsis

Dearest Philene,
It is almost two years since your passing. We miss your sweetness so much. You are in our hearts forever.

I lived next to Philene in Cleveland Heights (she was in #4, we were in #3). She was always pleasant and nice even though at times I could tell she was struggling. We moved away from Cleveland in 1992, but still, all these years later, I remember Philene as someone who was always willing to greet me with a smile.

Rest In Peace my friend! I hope someday that we will meet on the other side.

Rest in God's arms, sweet, precious Philene.

Philene was wonderful. Smart, sweet and good humored, even when things got so tough. She will be sorely missed.

I have known Philene for the past 40 years as a close friend. We met in high school and always kept in touch. and I will treasure our many fun memories, ranging from "Philene-y-Fest" to going to concerts (i.e.The Clash) movies, restaurants, and simply hanging out and watching TV or talking as we got older. Philene was a true, loving and wonderful friend whom I will miss terribly. Rest in peace, dear Philene, and may your kind and gentle spirit be eternal.

Ebullient, brilliant, hilarious, generous, brave, and courageous. So esteemed by those of us who were so fortunate to know her. Philene: to quote a song by one of the 1970's bands we listened to by the band, Yes, you are a "Starship Trooper."

Dear Philene, it was a honor knowing you! You lived your life with such courage an grace!! I will miss you deeply! Thanks to Kathy I got to know you. Rest in peace dear friend, now you are whole again. Our deepest sympathy to Philenes family an to her our dear friend Kathy.

Philene was a beautiful person, respected by all. Rest in your angels arms.
