Philip M. Arbaugh, 88, of New Providence, entered into rest on Tuesday, October 8, 2024 at Lancaster General Hospital. Born in Lancaster, he was the son of Clarence and Grace Arbaugh. He was the loving husband of Arlene (Wood) Arbaugh for 64 years.
Phil had served in the U.S. Airforce and received the Good Conduct Medal as a basic airman. He was employed as a tank welder for the Heil Co. for many years and continued to work for Country Value Furniture as a deliveryman after his retirement. Phil was also an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed traveling.
In addition to his wife, Phil is survived by two children: Deborah, wife of Ralph Burchett and Steven Arbaugh. Also surviving is a grandson, Zach Arbaugh and a brother, Joe Arbaugh. He was preceded in death by a son, Michael Arbaugh.
A Funeral Service will take place at Dewald Funeral and Cremation Services, Inc., 227 W. 4th St., Quarryville, PA on Monday, October 14, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Paul Hess officiating. The family will receive friends from 1-2 p.m. Private interment will follow in the Rawlinsville Mennonite Cemetery.
