Philip J. Caporaso Sr., 70, of Hazlet Township, passed away on Tuesday, April 27th, at home, surrounded by the love of his family. He was born in Newark, and has been a life-long resident of the Bayshore area. Philip was a handy man and a jack of all trades. He enjoyed working on old classic cars and painting them, working on car models. He loved being with his family and working with his hands. Philip always helped people no matter what it was. Philip was pre deceased by his parents; Albert and Grace Caporaso and his brother; Carmine Caporaso. He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years; Mary Caporaso of Hazlet Township, four sons; Joseph and (Christine) Hansen of Keansburg, Philp and (Shawn) Caporaso of Asbury Park, Albert Caporaso of Hazlet Township and Carmine and (Joanna) Caporaso of Florida. His daughter; Elizabeth and (Richard) Steinhart of Middletown. Three brothers; Anthony and (Deb) Caporaso of Vegas, Albert Caporaso of Florida and Stephen and (Kimberly) Caporaso of Middletown. Two sisters; Marie and (Nick) Nastasi of Forked River and Antoinette Caporaso of Vegas. Twelve grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and extended family. A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, May 3rd, at St. Catherine's Church, Middletown 9:30AM. Arrangements are under the direction of the Jacqueline M. Ryan Home for Funerals 233 Carr Ave. Keansburg. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the Kidney Disease Foundation in Philip's Memory. www.kidneyfund.org
