Phillip was a classmate and my friend. He was always kind, funny, and happy go lucky. It saddens my heart to hear of his passing. The last time we talked he said he was not able to come to our class reunion but reassured me of his feelings for home and old friends. (Roff). I remember a particular incident in English class with Mrs. Clifton. Phil had not handed in an assignment from a couple of days before. When she asked for it he laughed, turned bright red (which was his nature) and responded with: I thought maybe you would forget. In her cool, calm collected way she ask if he knew anything about elephants. She went on to tell him that elephants never forget and she wouldn't either. I don't know but feel sure Phil lost the battle. So long my friend. Until we meet again.
