It is with great sadness that I learnt of the passing of Doctor Phil Davidson as I used to call him. I met Dr Davidson together with Dr Myers, also Elsa, Jean when I joined the Child Development Research Project in the Seychelles in the 1980s. DR Davidson was outgoing, with a kind heart ready to impart valuable knowledge to us . We went to home visiting the kids who were in the study programme with him when he visited the Seychelles in some quite difficult locations but he enjoyed the difficult trails.
I wish to extend my profound heartfelt condolences to Margaret and the family. I met Margaret when she came for holidays in the Seychelles with her husband, also at their home when we went for some training in Rochester. Iam very saddened to learn about his passing. Rest in Eternal Peace Doctor Davidson. Keep flying high.

Remembering our dearest Professor Philip Davidson, at the anniversary of his passing. Time has certainly flown by. Although grief can be terribly hard, our special memories help us cope.

Professor Davidson taught me a lot and was a fun professor whilst I was studying Pediatrics in Rochester, and each time he visited the Seychelles. It was thanks to him and to Prof Gary Myers that i actually git into Child Development and opened up the first Early Childhood Intervention Centre in Seychelles. I always looked forward to his visits here at the English River Health Centre, where my Centre is based, as he would help me out with reviewing some of my autism patients and we would have awesome discussions. He insisted I call him Phil, which was so hard initially, as i was raised very conservatively with a British style education. But I shall do so now ...
I remember when Phil and Margaret met my parents at our family home, together with Gary and Ruth Myers, whom by the way, are considered my other parents from across the seas. We always had a wonderful time.
I remember how he loved to log his airline miles each time he travelled, and it was thanks to him that I now do the same and enjoy the perks of upgrades whenever I travel the world. He created a monster, I tell you!
Philip Davidson is missed at home and will always be missed here, in the tiny island state of the Seychelles.
Remembering you and your loved one today and always

I knew Phil well during my 13 years at UR, and we jogged quite a few miles together.
We lost a good one.
My deepest sympathy to Phil´s family.

Phil was a photographer for "The Log," our Red Bank High School senior yearbook. When presenting some of his photos for inclusion, our class advisor Jack Needle noted that they were blurry and asked for an explanation. Phil's excuse was that "the people were blurry." It turned out that Phil's extraordinary career was focused on helping "blurry" people--namely, those with intellectual and developmental disabilities, gain focus on their lives. For this and his many other achievements he deserves posthumous induction into the Red Bank High School Distinguished Alumni Hall of Fame!

Dear Margaret and Family,
I wish to tell you how sorry I am for your great loss (our loss too). Phil was a huge influence on my development during my time in Rochester and also back home here in the Seychelles. I will miss his dry humour and amazing knowledge, which he shared so freely with all of us.
Grief can be so hard, but our special memories help us cope. Remembering you and your loved one today and always.
Erna and Family.

My condolences to the Davidson family. I worked with Phil at SCDD, I was part of the division for 14years. It was an honor to know him and to work for him. He was so vibrant and full of life. He's the best director I ever had. You will be missed but not forgotten.

so a lot of memories - trips to Utica, meetings in the lounge of Buffalo airport, Phil stopping by my office when he was in town for DDPC meetings, projects of huge significance for people with developmental disabilities despite small amounts of money, the books, the articles and through it all someone who genuinely cared and enjoyed the success of those around him. Missed him when he retired,... miss him more now.

Our sincerest condolences to the Davidson family! We remember fondly the good times that we shared with Phil while attending our many parties at the Turin Tennis & Swim Club as well as playing tennis and socializing with both Phil and Margaret over the years. Until we meet again at the Great Party in the sky, God bless Phil and may he rest in Peace!
