Hey Phil, it's "Diane" here :-) I just wanted you to know that there's not a day that goes by that I don't think of you with humor, vast knowledge, friendship, or the amazingly fun memories we all made together. Little did I know that sharing a cubical wall with you would bring such a wonderful human being into my life & we would become friends for a lifetime. My favorite memory with you was during the final night of the Tech Ed Convention in ATL. We were inside laughing at the techno music & dancing. It was then that you swore you'd NEVER dance "UNLESS" the live band outside played the song "Shout"... We walked outside during Purple Rain and then like it was planned - they played "Shout" and you kept your promise!! We jumped around and danced like the foolish idiots we all were in that moment!! You will always be that silly, hard-working, caring, dry humor having friend with the biggest heart I've ever met. I know you are in heaven hugging your daughter once again and laughing at us poor saps working the daily grind. Love you my friend, Heaven gained an amazing person and I will continue to look up to you and play "Shout" in your honor. Love & peace always, Joanne Burden

Phil was one of the truly good people I've met. I'll remember him as friendly, calm, and patient, with unmatched dedication to anything he worked on. Some memories include him interviewing me at JH, going with him to Atlanta for tech-ed, and the many great conversations I had while working with him for over a decade. Rest in peace Phil!

I remember Phil as the real deal when it came to working together on computing projects. Never said I don´t have time or I´m working on something else. He was patient and a self starter as he often held positions where his skills were unique in the organization. Truly supportive. I´ll remember him always.

I am so sad to hear of Phil's passing. We worked together for many years, and shared many talks and texts about the Rays, White Sox, Bucs, and Purdue. We spent lots of time together at the Trop. I will miss you forever, Phil.
