Obituary of Philip Joseph Guglietti
Philip Joseph Guglietti, of San Antonio, FL, passed away on August 29, 2022 after a prolonged illness, at the age of 67. Born in Cambridge, MA, Philip grew up in Gulfport and graduated from Gibbs High School. Philip worked as a firefighter/paramedic for 27 years at the South Pasadena Fire Department, while also working some of those years as a Flight Paramedic for Bayflite. He then worked as a Senior Plans Examiner for St. Petersburg Fire and Rescue, until his retirement on March 27, 2020. Upon this date, he became a grandfather for the second time. Phil's favorite hobby was buying, restoring and selling vintage cars to include a Viper, a Model T, an SSR, among others. Phil was most happy when spending time with family, especially his two granddaughters, Kayla and Amelia. A devoted son, son-in-law, brother, brother-in-law, father, father-in-law, husband, uncle, grandfather and friend, Phil will be greatly missed by all who have known him. Phil was the son of the late Angelo and Ducillia (Vela) Guglietti and the son-in-law of Walter and the late Brenda Kelly. Devoted brother to Joann (Guglietti) White of Tampa, FL and brother-in-law to Stuart Rice of Sandwich, MA. Uncle to Samuel Rice of Sandwich, MA and Andrew Rice of the Seattle area. Dear father to the late Joseph Guglietti and David Guglietti. Step-father to Riyana Lalani. Dear father-in-law to Pamela (Craig) Guglietti. Faithful and loving husband to Kelly (Rice) Guglietti. Phil is also survived by cousins in Florida, Rhode Island and Massachusetts. A Celebration of Life will take place on Monday, September 12, 2022 at A Life Tribute Funeral Care at 5601 Gulfport Boulevard South, Gulfport, FL. A private viewing with family and close friends will take place at 11:30 a.m. The viewing will open to the general public at 12:00 p.m. Tributes will commence at 1:00 p.m. and go until 1:30 p.m. A private burial will take place for the family at 2:00 p.m.
