Philip C. Lambert of Gloucester, 88, died peacefully after a brief illness on Friday September 26, he was surrounded by his loved ones. He was born on August 27, 1937, in Gloucester to the late Leo and Doris (Carter) Lambert.

Phil spent his life in Gloucester and was a graduate of Gloucester High School class of 1955 and Northeastern University. He proudly served for many years in the R.O.T.C and the U.S. Army National Guard. As a young a man, he worked in the kitchen at Addison Gilbert hospital, ran clambakes for M.F. In his free time, he enjoyed coaching youth sports, playing golf in Cape Ann leagues and beating all comers at cards and cribbage.

Phil married Patricia (Newman) also of Gloucester in 1955 and they enjoyed 66 years of marriage; filled with road trips, dancing, blueberry picking, sea clamming, and raising their family. Attending the sporting, musical and theatre events of his extended family was a priority and highlight for Phil.
