Philip D. Lumb

Philip Lumb and I were students in junior high school at the beginning of the 1960s. I still remember what a fine person he was, and it is wonderful to learn of his sparkling career. Best wishes to all.

So sorry to hear of Philip's illness and passing which I just learned in reading his obituary. He gave significantly to our anesthesiology and critical care medicine profession and was a friend of many years duration until the country and times separated our families. Me (Christian) and Yaroslava met Prof Lumb as mentor togheter Prof Zelman.
He has been an excellent mentor and now that we are came back in USA this notice broke our heart.

I loved knowing Phil during my Exeter years. One of my fave people and I only regret I had such little interaction with this exemplary person afterwards. I was truly saddened to hear this new, hoping I would see him at our 60th Reunion. Blessings on you, Phil.

Phil was a truly wonderful person who was amazingly excellent in every thing he accomplished. He was a role model who will be greatly missed.
