Philip Miller Obituary
Philip is survived by his wife, Regina T. Miller; his daughters, Stephanie Miller Axtell, Elizabeth Miller, and Jennifer Miller; his granddaughter, Sweetwater Miller Teehee. He is also survived by his brothers, John M. Miller and Edward Miller. He was predeceased by his son, Philip J. Miller. Also survived by many loving relatives and friends.
A private service was held on Wed. May 5, 2021, followed by interment at Lakeview Cemetery. Condolences may be made online at www.harrywitzkefuneralhome.com

I was friends with Phil in High School and went to several class reunions over the next 50 years hoping to see him again. I wanted to tell him one of the critical incidents in my life resulted from his response when we were having a (friendly) argument. He paused, then said, "you are right." I walked away feeling great. Then it occurred to me that I would have been incapable of telling him that he was right. I had always argued from a pre-conceived position; Phil always argued with an open mind. That five minute exchange was one of the great lessons of my life. It made me a better student and graduate student. And one of my old students from Carnegie Mellon called me, out of the blue, to say that he was retiring from his law practice and that the Phil story had helped him, too.
