Friday, September 22, 2023, at age 75. Philip is predeceased by his parents, Edward and Stella Okolowicz; brothers-in-law, Dan Flaherty, Raymond and Phyllis Ogden. He is survived by his devoted wife, Jan Okolowicz of 50 years; loving children, Shannon (Frank) DiStefano, Chad ( Amy) Okolowicz; his grandchildren who knew him as Gaga; Philip and Raegan DiStefano, Mackenzie and Lea Okolowicz; sisters, Patricia (John) Horn and Pamela (Stephen) Foglia; sisters-in-law, Sue Flaherty and Gail (Beau) Baregard; nieces and nephews, Michael (Lynn) Horn, Johnette (Dave) Mongelli, Jennifer (Riccardo) Mastrosimone, Jason (Jessica) Horn, Lisa (Rob) Sposato, Lanette Foglia, Craig (Kristina) Foglia, Ronald Ogden, Randall (Maryann) Ogden, Cheryl (Matt) Sottolano; several great-nieces, great nephews; cousins; loving family and dear friends.
Philp was a proud veteran of the United States Navy. He retired as a supervisor from Eastman Kodak Co. after 34 years and worked as a Dispatcher for the town of Greece for 13 years. He was known to be the greatest husband to his wife, a great dad to his kids who nicknamed him "Fred", Gaga to his pride and joy of grandkids. Philip had the best sense of humor, he loved to travel with his family, enjoyed boating, golfing, playing cards and watching the 49ers. He took great pride in his family and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
The family would like to thank the staff of Strong Hospital Cancer Center for all the love, support and care given to Philip and the family.
Philip's visitation will be held Wednesday, September 27th 4 PM – 7 PM at Vay-Schleich & Meeson 1075 Long Pond Road. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday, September 28th 11:00 AM at St. Mark's Church 54 Kuhn Road. Private Interment. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the University of Rochester for Multiple Myeloma Research 601 Elmwood Avenue Rochester NY 14642 in his memory.
