REID – Rev. Philip Reid, age 76 of Monroe, GA, passed away on Wednesday, May 21, 2025. A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, May 27, 2025 in the Loganville Chapel of Tim Stewart Funeral Home. Rev. Joe Reid, Rev. Paul Wimpey and Justin Reid will officiate. Interment will follow at Hill Haven Memory Gardens, 490 Edmondson Road, Monroe. Philip loved God and had a passion for serving others. He enjoyed sharing and preaching God's word. Philip loved his family and enjoyed being with his family the most. He was known for his carpentry work and enjoyed making birdhouses and bird feeders. Philip loved to ride his John Deere Tractor and dump truck. He had a green thumb and had a garden big enough to share with anyone. Philip was preceded in death by his daughter, Trisha Rowe; son, John Reid; granddaughter, Emily Reid, parents, Henry Grady and Mildred Lee Earl (Morris) Reid; brothers, Howard Reid and Joe Reid; sisters, Virginia Yancey and Patricia Reid. He is survived by his loving wife, Martha Reid of Monroe, GA; daughter, Phyllis Britt of Loganville, GA; sons and daughters-in-law, Philip G. and Cindy L. Reid, Jr. of Covington, GA, Joe and Kristy Reid of Loganville, GA, Justin "BB" and Mandy Reid of Covington, GA; son, Jacob Reid of Monroe, GA; grandchildren, Phyllicia Britt of Loganville, GA, Philip Rowe of Jackson, GA, Josh and Shelby Reid of Calhoun, GA, Tiffany and Josh Holmes of Oxford, GA, Caleb Reid of New York, NY, Sam Reid of Loganville, GA, Ashley Reid of Covington, GA, TJ Reid of Loganville, GA, Ethan Reid of Loganville, GA, Holly Reid of Covington, GA, Allie Reid of Covington, GA, Lily Reid of Monroe, GA, Easton Reid of Monroe, GA, Levi Reid of Covington, GA; great grandchildren, Susanne Britt of Loganville, GA, Leland Rowe of Oxford, GA, Stella Holmes of Oxford, GA, Dolly Mae Reid of Calhoun, GA; sister, Louise Parish of Monroe; several nieces and nephews.
