Philip "Phil" Lee Stonecipher,75, of Syracuse, son of Carter and Mary Stonecipher entered into eternal rest on October 10.
A native and lifelong resident of Syracuse, Phil graduated from Nottingham High School and was a dedicated communicant of St. Daniel's Catholic Church. He spent his spare time practicing martial arts and was an avid writer and storyteller. Phil found joy in the company of his friends and family, and cherished time spent with those he loved most. Phil is survived by his beloved sisters, Sandra Stonecipher of Lakeport and Carol Stonecipher of Cary, NC; his sister-in-law, Sue Stonecipher of Florida as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins who will fondly remember him. He was predeceased by his loving wife, Carolyn (Burch) Stonecipher; his parents; his brothers, Ronald, John, Daniel and David Stonecipher; his sister, Elaine Stonecipher Kwietniak; his nephew Jacob Brown and his niece Deborah Conroy Buskey. Family and friends may call 10am to 11:30am Monday at Carter Funeral Home Inc., 1604 Grant Blvd, Syracuse. A Mass of Chrisitan burial will be celebrated at 12pm at St. Daniel's Church, 3004 Court Street followed by burial in Woodlawn Cemetery.
